Being that I was a great believer at one point in athletics I had let myself go over the years. Having numerous injuries have made it very hard to be active in the way that I would love to.
My journey started when I was younger and was learning to be a gymnast. It didn’t last long my training after I broke my finger. Getting back to being able to use my grip was so hard I eventually lost interest.
However one doesn’t forsake the love of the sport. Up until my early 20s I still practiced and was able to use a lot of the strength and flexibility to really push boundaries.
In my 30s I did Tae Kwon Do for just about a year when I moved. I had been struggling with knee issues for a long time.
Being out of shape really sucks and while I can’t run or so some of what I used to I have started the journey to a Healthier me.
First thing I did was start by eating better and not nearly as much as I would normally. It is hard but I do enjoy the challenge. Eating less and changing what I will snack on has improved my thought process and outlook. One thing I do like is nuts and having just a few will allow me a chance to really have something small but filling.
Another change is my outlook on excercise. I have been using elyptical trainer for the last couple of weeks and I find my stamina really has helped.
I think my next goal is to try and beat insomnia as that will help with my overall health. Learning how to relax is key
