This young man is a great gymnast who retired from the sport too early. Gymnastics while it features in every aspect of his life it doesn’t define him.
He was an Olympian who was able to capture one of the top honours in the sport by getting a medal on High Bar.
I have been watching his channel on YouTube and have been enthralled as they have so much humour and fun.
I especially like that he has his family on his channel. Especially his father Neil as he seems to have such a different relationship then many I have seen.
This family is strong and in gymnastics it seems rare that the family unit is as close as this one is.
With the announcement of his retirement I feel a sadness as I was really hoping he would be at the next Olympics but alas that is not to be. It is sad but he isn’t giving up his gymnastics he has his own club and I think training the next generation of gymnasts is such a great way to make a positive impact on what recently has shown to have been negative
