It is a sad day as I found out about the passing of a childhood icon author Beverly Cleary.
I remember many happy memories reading her wonderful series of Ramona books.
These books are partially if not mostly responsible for my love of reading. I wish that we still have books like this now that are still coming out.
She was a great author who has shaped so many authors as well as shaped the minds of young readers.
People like myself feel like we were influenced by so many of her novels especially as a young reader learning about chapter books.
We will miss you but you had such a long life and influenced so many.
