Top book series

Being a book blogger before and now trying to start my own journey into writing it allows me to think of the best series I have read.

Each of these series has meant a lot to me over the years. Most of these series have been in process for years and may never be completed to my satisfaction or even the authors. So here is a list and what genre I classify them in.

Hero Nelson series by MA Comley: crime thrillers

This is my favourite series ever having a bit of everything including some of the best hero characters. I even make a guest appearance in one of the books.

Kim Stone series by Angela Marsons: Police Procedural

A great series that has so many amazing characters. The series is still going strong with a dozen books. Her best book to me is the second as it introduces one of the best villains I have ever seen in Alex.

Valdemar Series by Mercedes Lackey: Fantasy

One of the top prolific authors in fantasy with well over fifty titles in the universe. Multiple short story anthologies which have allowed others to be able to write in this brilliant world.

One of the most unique magic systems which deals with combination of true magic and mind magic.

Dresden Files by Jim Butcher: Urban Fantasy

A great Urban Fantasy series which deal with a private eye who happens to be a wizard. Actually the only wizard in the Chicago phonebook. The series goes off in spectacular fashion and deals with lots of mythology including dealing with faeries.

Rogue Squadron Star Wars: Space Opera

A ten book series which deals mostly with star fighter pilots. It is a great series that has a lot of characters that really stand out to me.

It is a fun read and I love the fact that it makes you love the science fiction style but not so hard core
