The legends series is a lot of books that deal with the expanded universe. Outcast is not the best of the EU but it is a solid story dealing with Luke many years later and his son Ben.In this you see years after the War with a ruthless and forcedead race in which many of the top Jedi and their apprentices were killed. Now Luke is being punished for anothers crime that they believe he could have prevented.Becoming an outcast him and his son Ben now a Jedi Knight as well are trying to find out the reason for Jason Solo becoming a Dark Lord.This book when I have read it before I found it was lacking some of the thrill that other books in Legends have. I still feel that way but I am more charitable now.This is a solid read that could have been much better. It felt that the book didn’t go anywhere and you don’t see that much of what is happening.I do like seeing Ben and Jaina and even seeing what has happened in the years after the wars that were raged upon the Galaxy.I do say that at most this is a 3.5 star read but it did have a lot of good parts that help generate the characters and make them better.
