This is the second book in the very first Thrawn Trilogy. It is a very fun read and you see so much of why Thrawn was feared.
Mara Jade is an amazing character that has a feisty attitude and a never give up attitude. Her dislike for Luke and for well it seems like she doesn’t like much. She is loyal and that is really what matters to her the most.
The story is strong showing the very best the Empire had to offer vs what the New Republic had to offer. The New Republic is not what I would choose as they seemed to be insane with internal fighting.
Meeting Borsk more was interesting and I wanted to smack him hard for what he was doing. His attempt at politics is fearsome as he doesn’t seem to care who he hurts.
Now for the fun part. Legends to me is the epitome of Star Wars as there is so much to show is the expanded universe. This series of books shows what it is all about.
