Flawed Justice by MA Comley

Flawed Justice

It is always great to see any updates to the Justice series.  This is a novella so a quick read with some of the best characters.

For those that have read The Justice Series you will know of all the crazy issues that Lorne has faced throughout the books.

This book deals with her and Pete in a wonderous backstory.  You get to see Pete Chunky again which is great and also why I love these novellas.  I get to relive my fascination with the dynamics of this great duo.

The story has such a great premise and it seems there are no topics that are taboo for Lorne to deal with.

Pete though not in as many books as I would have liked I really enjoy reading about him.  Especially with his relationship with Lorne you can really see how much they care about each other.

I do like the humour that this author puts into her books while tackling some of the toughest subject matter that I have read.  There are very few authors who can handle writing about sensitive topics with the fairness that they deserve and with the same respect.

This book made me very sad as it touches on issues that have been found in Canada fairly recently and it is a hard story to really take in what happens.  Religion is always an excuse for some people to do horrific things.  This book shows what happens when a person has been pushed to far and that causes a lot of mental health issues.

What a great story and it was told with such passion and shows a lot of compassion as well.  It also brings to light some of what has happened in the past.  It is a great story and really shows what this author is made of.
