Ahsoka is a great character from the wonderful minds of the Star Wars universe.
She is a Padawan when you meet her which is basically a trainee. She is strong and you get to see one of the non-human races that frequent the universe.
I love the fact that they do make her a great heroine from a race that isn’t well known as togruta. I love that she is smart and undisciplined as well. She acts much like Anakin was. Which isn’t surprising as she is his Padawan.
Much like Anakin is not always a good thing. She is impulsive and often doesn’t understand the consequences of her actions and gets her way by trickery.
I found the book much more even with her as she was older and wiser but still impulsive as well. She just seems to have gained patience which she lacked before.
It is great to see a strong female character in Star Wars who wasn’t a main character before or wrote about much. When you see the main female characters in the books and movies they are all older for the most part or have been embroiled in politics since they were kids.
I think that’s why I liked Ahsoka more as she wasn’t the main focus of the movies and the author could really delve deeper into her character. They couldn’t really do that with Leia and it made her feel less real for me.
