The Case of the Killer Divorce by Barbara Venkataraman

I found this author on January 1st 2022 and was enthralled by her first novel.  I loved the atmosphere that she writes and her characters.

The second book has been just as good with getting a chance to see more personal side of Jamie.

I also like Duke but now I keep thinking of his as a big red dog Marmaduke especially in the one scene where he says the full name.

He is gruff which is great and the impact he has with Jamie and his friendship and trust that has been built between the two is such a great thing.

This was an emotional read and I think that it had a bit of everything.  What I really love is that this shows a different side of crime books and it’s one I am really enjoying finding.

This is such a great book.
