Starting this book I felt so sad for Sam as it seems that a lot happened to her and Chris was no longer around.
I really enjoy the writing style and the characters that are part of the books. I think this author really has it dialed in with the perfect mix between the characters and the story.
This story feels so different then her other stories of Sam. I see a huge heartbreak in Sam and it makes me want to go and comfort her. I don’t feel this way in most books even with Lorne when her marriage broke down. This just is more emotional.
The setting is great. And I love seeing all the interesting places we see. I kind of like that the crime happened differently and love the boat aspect.
I smile everytime they do a scene with Sonny. He just makes me laugh. He is to me the comedic relief so you don’t take yourself to seriously.
It feels like this is the perfect revenge story but it feels that it’s not for anything big and it’s a petty item for the revenge.
The book made me feel so happy that I had read it. It isn’t what you would call comfortable to read but I like the warped and sick moments. I also like that it’s not really showing all the gruesome bits but you get enough to keep you happy that they are there.
