5 Simple Steps to Releasing the Real You by Anne Iarchy

This isn’t normally what I read on a regular basis as I find it hard to relate and to actually feel that I can do what is needed.

Reading about this author I see a lot of parallels in what we are like.  While I don’t travel for business but I have destroyed my knee twice so I know the pain when she talked about knee damage.

I also was active when I was younger but let myself go and have confidence issues because of my weight.

Thank you to the author for actually staying it’s not just about the diet or the movement and that it isn’t as easy as the diets make it out to be.

It’s interesting as the author never really talks about calorie deficit but also talks about how you need to eat enough as well.  This is nice as most of what I have read before doesn’t talk about the most healthy eating habits.

I love the part where they say what is your why.  It is such a great question and it’s one that you definitely need to do before you can lose weight.  Goals and reasons are always what is the start of your journey.

What I like is there isn’t judgement when she talks about the reasons as some would choose something that maybe not as altruistic as others.

It’s an interesting book and doesn’t make you feel that you aren’t an idiot and are treated with respect.  Generally I feel very dumb when I read these books as they use a lot of technical terms and basically use other items as well that makes you feel that if you don’t follow this exactly you can’t succeed.  This book doesn’t have that and it is a great change in the few health books I have read.

How this book made me feel was that I am not alone in this journey and that what my path is will be different than what others journey is.
