Storm Warning by Mercedes Lackey

The first in a trilogy that shows the story of Karal. Karal is a young man who is shoved into high life at a royal court in another country.

This story is sad and has a lot of parts but also brings with it a great as story arc of a young man coming into his own as nd finding himself in the midst of some most dangerous situations.

The main characters in this book are very important and I love to see the growth.

Andesha is from a culture so different and also his background which is talked about in the Mage Winds Trilogy. He is such a great character that you see so much growth in over the first book.

Natalie is a great side character who does a lot to support the main characters. Though she is a support character she really makes me like her a lot by her confidence and the way she holds herself.

Ulrich was my favourite in this book and really helps so many. I do wish we had seen more of this amazing character as well since he has the heart of a healer and the power that makes him an amazing protector. The perfect mentor for your Karal.

Karal is very unsure of himself in a lot of situations and is trying his best to survive the coming storm both with his friends and a great and powerful evil that comes forth. He grows the most in this book. He is a marvel to watch as he proves to himself just how good he is and how he will succeed.
