If you could be a character from a book or film, who would you be? Why?

This has always been on my mind as reading is my favourite hobby. I also have been character in a novel and that was such an honour and an experience that many don’t get

However for me I am a fantasy fan and I always kind of wanted to be a main character in a fantasy novel.

The part that was hard was what type of fantasy character. I always loved the vampire stories but that doesn’t seem to fit with what I really wanted. I wanted magic and not really be a monster.

I thought about Harry Dresden from the Jim Butcher series as he is smart and powerful but also is a smart ass which does suit what I am at times.

Then I thought of Agis from the Troy Denning books about the world of Athas from DarkSun. He was older and I really am connecting more with the older characters and he was powerful in psionics.

I thought of Gandalf who is wise but thought that he really didn’t show how powerful he was nor did he seem to be the main character which is the criteria I wanted.

I thought of Vanyel from Mercedes Lackey last Herald mage series. Part of the reason is his abilities both as a mind mage and true mage. Also his link to his companion.

I also thought of Lavan from brightly burning by Mercedes Lackey. The character was greatly written but he had a tragic life but oh to have the firestarting ability.

I think for me the ultimate character was Raistlin and would love to have been him. However it would change the character slightly because I am not one who is evil but a what if style of Raistlin. He was always one of my favourite characters.
