I am not a huge movie person preferring tv shows that are shorter that have a nice story. That doesn’t mean I don’t watch movies or enjoy them. Here are some of the movies that I have loved.
Only the Strong is one of my all time favourites and it’s partially due to the martial arts that they use. I love the combination of gymnastics and fighting that is capoeira. The story was also fun but the production value wasn’t top of the line overall this is amazing.
Stick It is a great gymnastics movie that shows the hardships that those training at the elite level go through. I love the attitude that the Gymnastics show in this movie and how they conspire to cheat the system which we have seen has in the past been very corrupt.
Original trilogy of Star Wars. Growing up in the 80s more and having been alive when most of the movies came out I have become addicted to them. The stories were fun and it pushed me into thinking outside of the box and to want to write and create my own unique worlds and races. I. Not a huge fan of the sequels and the prequels were not exactly amazing but that could be because of the anticipation as it took forever to bring out new content.
Dirty Dancing. Yes I do love this movie and find the story great even if the style is very dated. I love dancing as I know how long it takes to learn and become good at it.
RoadHouse. This movie was always one of my favourites and it had so much including the characters who were amazing as well as a strong story and also great combat scenes.
RoadHouse 2. This movie was not as good as the first but in a lot of ways it felt that it wasn’t a sequel but more of an additional movie that was separate from the original. I loved the story on this one even if the acting wasn’t as good.
