Solo levelling book 1
This is my first foray into the manga world and I really am enjoying this. I like that it has a feel of old school dungeons and dragons and dungeon crawling.
Jinwoo Sung who is knowm as the weakest hunter is a fun character. He doesn’t seem to have all the negative emotions that I would assume he would have especially when you see how almost everyone treats him.
He has no respect even though he is E ranked and he always seems to get injured. I think it’s a disservice at times as he seems like he just needs the money that he gets from being a hunter to help his mother.
I like that Sung while not respected is the one who is smart and is figuring out the rules of the dungeon.
The imagery is great in this book. Love the images and every part of this book. The old school feel is just what I needed. It’s a simple read and to be honest it feels more like what I used to read or play when doing choose your own adventures well except this is full colour pictures as well.
Very entertaining though I do hate when they end at a part of the story that means you need to read the next book soon so that the story remains fresh.
