Ashoka the first season

As many know, I am a huge fan of Ahsoka and have wanted this type of series to be made for a long time.

Let me say that first Ashley Eckstein is always going to be Ahsoka. Her voice is perfect and she has the tone that just made it so much better. Rosario Dawson is good as well but she has different cadences to her voice which doesn’t link me to what I think of when I see Ahsoka.

The first episode has me very disappointed as I missed the warmth of Ahsoka and I missed the with that we all got used to in both The Clone Wars and Rebels. Now this can be explained but it just felt hollow to me.

After the first episode I think it got a lot better. Sabine was a good added character even if I don’t agree with what they have done in the later episodes. She moved a bit stiffly at times and it wasn’t really showing the Sabine from rebels who was a master of fighting.

Huyang was great and I loved seeing him in the love action. He was much like we remember from The Clone Wars and he didn’t pull his punches like what other characters do.

Ray Stevenson was the best for it even if he wasn’t a main character but his portrayal of Baylan Skill who while not a good guy isn’t really the evil villain that we needed.

The rest of the cast was good but just not as good as what I wanted. In total I would say that this show was good but not great but it is setting up for further seasons or other movies.
