Favourite Series in Books

I am in love with series as I find that they have so much to offer however there is always the chance that the series doesn’t live up to your anticipation. Here are some of my favourite series where all the books are great.

I will start off with something that is a bit smaller for a series but had me hooked and that is the Hero Nelson series by MA Comley. This series has been a favourite of mine for a long time and the author shows just how much she cares that her characters are done justice with how she writes them. The series starts with Torn Apart.

The next series again is a small one and is more mystical and crime at the same time. The Catherine Manns series by Linda Prather is second to none when it comes to psychic style investigations. It starts with Bet You Can’t Find Me.

The next series is going to be another crime series which is Erika Foster series by Robert Bryndza. I really enjoyed his writing of Erika and how she overcomes what could be crippling emotional loss. This series starts with Girl in the Ice.

Not all books that I read have crime as part of their main plot the next series has so many books which is the Valdemar Series by Mercedes Lackey. There are probably over 50 books now for this long running series. It’s hard to say where this one starts as it has a lot of trilogies going back throughout multiple timeframes. My favourite is the Arrows trilogy about Talia.

The next series is an urban fantasy series by Jim Butcher and is the Dresden Files. The books just keep me laughing and I honestly believe that there isn’t much better urban fantasy out there.

I will go with one that is more scientific as well, it’s crime but the Bones series by Kathy Reichs it has a lot of books and they can be a bit more gruesome in details but is so good.

Another crime series that I liked is the series is the Rizzoli and Isles series. Great series by Tess Gerritsen.

Another series that I love is Dragonlance which was created by Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weiss. It evolved and a lot of the character grew as well with other authors writing.

Star Wars is a particular favourite of mine. While it was created by George Lucas but evolved with hundreds of books and many authors.

Another one is a vampiric book by Karen Chance who wrote the Pythia books that I love about Cassandra Palmer. There was such a great historical aspect as well to these books.

DK Hood has a great series about Alton and Kane and they have amazing chemistry and they are so much fun to read.
