My thoughts
The third installment of the true blood series. In this book Bill has gone missing and Sookie of course doesn’t understand what is happening as he was supposed to be in Dallas finishing off the last bit of business from Living Dead in Dallas but instead she found out he was in Mississippi.
We meet Lorena who is the most manipulative woman that I had seen in the book up until this time. She seems to suck the happiness out of the surroundings and just tries to ruin things for others. Not the person you would want as a friend or an enemy.
Alcide is an interesting character but because he is a were my heart automatically went to dislike as were creatures are just not my thing. Vampires are what I truly find the most interesting.
Debbie Pelt who is a shifter knob a also very interesting especially as she has such a cruel streak to her and she is pushing things so much to make her exes life hell. Alcide and her not a good fit.
The story was weaker than the others and I found it mostly about betrayal. I do think it was good just not near as strong as others in the series.
