Being a huge gymnastics fan this woman dominated the gymnastics scene for all of my life. She has announced her retirement from the sport after so many decades of entertaining us.
For most of the newer fans you will know her more from being a broadcast on air personality who did both elite and NCAA competitions as one half of the best pair commentary team. She is iconic alongside her friend Bart Connor
A lot know that she was also a standout gymnast who has World and Olympic experience. She has two Olympic medals from 1984 where she had a team silver and balance beam bronze. She Al’s has a world medal that is also bronze.
For me she was a great gymnast but she made things much better for gymnastics as a whole when she continued to support the sport she loved and became one of the best to ever commentate. Her partnership with Bart Connor they were the best team ever and always showed how much they could do and with their knowledge no one could touch them.
We will miss this great lady as part of the commentating team.
