This series is great however I found that this book was definitely the lowest of the books.
It just felt anti-climatic and that’s what made me annoyed. I think the story just didn’t end in a way that would work for me.
I felt cheated to a point as Thalia always seemed interesting and then she took the easy way out to ensure a prophecy would not be about her.
I know that the story is about Percy and his journey which means the prophecy is really about him and I love his character as well as Grover and Annabeth they are just great accompanying characters.
Thalia we don’t see enough of her to really get an idea of just who she is.
Zoe was a very interesting side character even with her speech and old English style. She was a strong character.
Getting to meet Nico was definitely a high point even if he was more of an afterthought. Same with his older sister Bianca. They had a lot of potential even if this book wouldn’t really show much of who Nico is.
All in all this was an average book with some high points. I think if they hadn’t done the ending the way that they did I would say it would have been higher just felt let down by that ending.
