What I mean by this is if you start a book do you have to finish it no matter what you feel about the book and do you have to read all in a series?
This used to be me where even if I didn’t enjoy the book I had to finish it and would have to read the entire series even if it wasn’t for me.
I now can’t be bothered. If a book isn’t for me I just give up on it. It’s not that there is something wrong with the book but it just wasn’t my taste or I couldn’t get invested in the story or characters.
I tend to give it about 50 pages before I will give up on the book but it’s not an easy decision for me as I still think that I should finish all of the book even if I don’t enjoy it. It’s just the old mentality which I fight myself on every day..
What about you will you give up on a book or must you continue on and finish it.
Yep I’m the same now too, used to really bother me and me feel guilty if I didn’t want to finish a book but now I just close it up and shelf it. It’s still a bit disappointing though. Last book I closed up and shelved was Radical Acceptance by Tara Brach, and that was pretty recent. It just didn’t read the way I thought it was going to.

Sometimes that happens. I generally pick well for myself but there have been times I was shocked and just did the do not finish
