This was to be a great event in which three former Olympic all around champions would be competing and trying to earn a chance at another Olympic Games.
Simone Biles is a shoe in most people would say when she beat the entire field. She has consistently showed that she is back in full form and is easily going to be one who should make it back to Olympic gold. My vote is she will make it to a third Olympics.
Suni Lee I was really hoping to see so much from her as she is one of the best uneven bar workers. It looks like she didn’t compete fully which is okay so long as she gave a solid performance. USA needs her on bars so badly as she is the only one that has a chance of beating the best on the world level
Gabby Douglas the 2012 Olympic all around champion has been a disaster in the competition. She did bars and the looks of having potentially injured herself as she scratched on all other events. She never looked ready for me as she just seemed sluggish with her routines and she was very rusty. If she isn’t injured I think her bid for a third Olympics is over as she has shown she is not ready she should have come back at least a year before the Olympics so that she would have had more competitions under her belt.
Shilese Jones her star is still shining coming in behind Simone Biles. She has a lot of talent and for me I can see her getting to the Olympics with the strength and skills she has shown.
Jordan Chiles a former olympian herself won the team silver in 2021. She trained with Simone at her gym and she has started to ramp up. She has been competing with NCAA and doing very well with that. She is coming back and is showing that hee star is on the rise. She will be a force to be reckoned with coming into nationals.
