Do you or your family make any special dishes for the holidays?
Savoury food is all pretty much the same and nothing overly special.
The deserts are different. We do pumpkin pie which is very rich and creamy even more so than usual. Sometimes it’s made with the fresh pumpkin but usually we do canned as it is much easier.
Whipped shortbread cookies that are to die for is the other one. We either put a sprinkle topping on them as garnishment or we put a glace cherry piece or even the maraschino cherry half. They are so good and melt in your mouth.
