A young adult fantasy novel that deals with the magic of the elements and not the standard mystical magic that many of us know from our fantasy reads.
Vhalla is a strong character who is a servant in the library. She is strong willed and has an untapped power. She is the first or rather the first of the new Air specialists.
Aldrik the Prince of the realm who is enamored with the servant who saved his life. He is not the nicest of characters and he has the reputation that he is a womanizer.
The story is fast paced with lots of amazing scenes and imagery. I think that this series will be amazing especially as it has everything that I truly love in fantasy.
I always look at fantasy for something new and interesting. This story definitely had a bit of that as I love the elemental magic which is one of my favourite styles of magic and it seldom is used effectively in stories.
I would recommend this book fully as I think that while this is only the start I think the series shows great promise.
