Create an emergency preparedness plan.
I think all of us have some small emergency readiness plan. Having worked for a couple years on a joint health and safety committee I always have something ready.
I know the best ways out of the building I am in knowing where the stairwells are since in an emergency you don’t use the elevators.
I also have shoes in different areas of the house so that I can quickly put them on when needed if I need to quickly leave.
Always have a cell phone close by or a phone of some kind so you can do calls. They are also always charged enough to be of use.
Have a pack of your toiletries ready in a to go bag so that if you need them it’s easy to grab and you won’t miss anything. That includes any form of medication you use.
Good plan. It reminds me of going to the hospital when a woman is pregnant and her water breaks.π
